English Made EZ | Our History
TEST PREP ON THE WEB
was created in 2004. Here's the last picture, partial at least, of the home page of Test Prep on the Web. It later became "Test Prep and Tutoring."
We taught English online to our students in other countries, but in person, we were working with struggling readers, ages 4-10 that we taught in person. The name, though still in use and has a current [but no postings in over a year] has a purpose; we just haven't been able to devote the time and effort into creating another testing and preparing curriculum and teachers to teach it. So for now, it's in limbo. Its Facebook page is still active, and we post occasionally. You can check there for updates on the English Made EZ page progress.
SOUTH KOREA- JAPAN- TAIWAN - HONG KONG
What came out of that wonderful company was the separate educational companies-the one you see here, English Made EZ, which works almost exclusively with ESL/ELL students from mostly Asian countries [our students listed from most to least so far [South Korea, China, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, Philippines.] We do less prep for the TOEFL but have increased requests for classes with more talking time, especially for more advanced students. They are aware of the grammar and writing issues of English, but really want to improve their fluency without worrying so much about the teacher stopping them every minute to correct them or doing drills, worksheets on grammar, etc.
So, while continuing to work with struggling readers in person here in the US, we began a business just for those children called Building Reading Skills, and we started English Made EZ for our ESL/ELL adult students and we've been focusing on creating leveled English Conversational Classes. Those "talk time" rich classes along with summaries after class to address grammar, vocabulary, accent, and other communication issues so students can address them and know which areas to work on outside of class. Sign up for our new English Conversational Class! We will be offering two levels: beginning and advanced. For further descriptions and leveling tests, check out our Conversational English Classes page.
